The fourth U.S. Polo release in the series focuses on the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro. Over the last 50 years polo in Brazil has flourished, and as with everything in this beautiful country, the Brazilians have embalmed polo with vibrancy, flair, color and passion. The enclave of Helvetia, with its perfect fields and immaculate stables contrasts brilliantly with the pulsating streets of Rio de Janeiro, and that is how polo is there, a sport played with passion and finished with a warm embrace.
The new whisky will be a unique 21-year-old blended malt, providing full, rich, fruity flavors that echo the buzz and vibrancy of Rio and the Brazilian culture. Matured in predominantly American Oak casks evoking Rio’s smooth sounds of Bossa Nova and the warmth of its people – brought to life through the coconut and vanilla notes imparted from the American oak casks. This special blend includes first-fill Braeval casks which impart floral and grassy notes to link to Rio’s lush, green nature.
