The 1993 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a translucent ruby color with some rusting and bricking at the rim. It displays aromas of saddle leather, sweet mint and fresh hay with hazelnut and dark plum nuances. It is not a big wine, as made apparent by its ethereal entry and lighter mid-palate presence. It works towards the back of the palate with a juicy finish reflective of a cooler, wetter vintage in Alexander Valley. Decanting suggested due to light sediment.
