In contrast to the aromatic reticence of the Suchots this is quite expressive with a perfumed, airy and highly complex nose of sandalwood, clove, anise and cinnamon that add breadth to the black cherry and red currant scents. There is a sophisticated mouth feel to the wonderfully refined and pure middle weight flavors where the supporting tannins are also dense but ultra-fine, all wrapped in a strikingly persistent finish.
